Have you ever had equine envy?

But now you're skinny....he would have been perfect.

Yes his name is Tudor Spirit - one of the loveliest horses I had in England. Great guy.

I envy those who have horses that don't attempt to tow them through the mud and try for you when you ride rather than throwing down the gauntlet with a "make me" look on their face. Sometimes I just get jealous of those horses that give their owners an easy life *sigh*

Have to say though that I haven't seen a horse in the flesh recently that I would kill to have and even with all her issues, Spring still takes my breath away when I watch her move and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when she gives me a cuddle!

Now, yes, we would have made an awesome team I am sure, but back then, I am not sure it would have been fair to his legs!

Now post the jumping pics for everyone to see - he is SUCH a lovely horse

Which is why my next horse WILL be the compliant type! I am getting way too old for having to convince a horse that my way is the prefered way - I want a "OK, leg on on the right means move to the left, I can do that" type of horse

Just realised Mustard is SO similar - no white on the face, just darker and lighter shades - MUST get pics tomorrow!

He is a really kind horse and a real lover of life. Never had a moments trouble with that horse and often I wish I had brought him here, but I know leaving him in the UK was the best thing for him.

Yep, i've had that. I've always wanted a Friesian Stallion, for years and years. What has a good friend of mine just brought? Yep the most gorgeous friesian stallion, hes stunning. Plus he has the most fantastic temperament. Hes only 3 and 1/2 and has only been backed/broken for 5 weeks now, and there she is riding him round the arenas and taking him for hacks

he's lovely!

Not equine envy in the same sense but equine envy because as careful as i am with my horses there seems to be always something going wrong, whereas there are so many people who dont seem to care about theirs but never seem to get any problems!! annoying as it is though i would rather look after them the way i do and have a few problems that treat them the way some people do!

Ahhhhhhhhh, that's so nice.

No I dont think I have had equine envy before. But I certainly have had other rider envy - when they make it all look so easy, look balanced, perfect ear - hip - ankle alignment *sigh*!

I love duns too - hence me looking at Bailey...

A few years ago, OH had a lovely 16.3hh dun IDxTB and he had the most amazing amber eyes. Hacked out in the heaviest of traffic, hunted, and jumped BSJA.

He sold him because he didn't like his colour...

He's always regretted it though

Oh yes, a friend has an absolutely gorgeous coloured cob who I was lucky enough to have a fantastic jumping lesson on, and I’m still completely envious as he would be perfect for me! GinaGem will know who I’m talking about!

Well I used to have envy all the time, I had a little pony - who was FAB but wanted a big floaty dressage horsey.

Now i have THREE big floaty dressage horses and have never been happier!!

The only thing I want now is a 20m x 60m pista!!!

Don't worry Weezy, your perfect horse is out there somewhere!! Just waiting to be snatched up

Hmm, not really! Because I have seen some gorgeous horses, look fab when ridden, but they always have a fault somewhere! I have NEVER met a perfect horse, but then Beau is perfect for me cos he is easy to make shiny (I like grooming - yes I am mad and Yes i do have a cleaning OCD

)

I do get rider envy though, especially when watching a few people on my yard ride! But its more frustration as I cant seem to do the things I used to do...........like flying changes and that kinda stuff

.

I have equine envy in that I seem to get a lot of problems and my friends don't get any!

Saying that, as horses go, I don't think I'd have anyone elses horse that I know - not that I don't like them but because Ty is everything I wanted....just a shame he's a nutter!

Watching Paul Hayler school some of his competition horses on Saturday - I had a severe case of Equine Envy!!
Well, and I-want-to-ride-as-well-as-you Envy too.

I had it once, over my friends tb. I got him on loan when she retired him from competing and had the best 9 months ever until he was sadly pts.

Although, looking at the pics of Tia's horse, I think I've just got it again!!!!!!
