Have you ever regretted selling a horse?

Yes I do regret selling one in particular, I did the right thing by another by putting him to sleep so he didn't end up in the wrong hands but he was beyond behavioural repair. In your instance OP by the sounds of things, he is the wrong horse for you so wouldn't regret it in the slightest. We all pay out a lot of money each month for our horses so if you don't enjoy him IMHO there is no point in keeping hold of them.

My regret was selling my beautiful ex-racer. I trained him P2P and although his wind went he was a little star. A real decent all rounder, never phased by anything, a diamond to hunt, safe as houses and willing to turn his hoof to anything. He was a shiverer and it never affected his performance in the slightest, I sold him for next to nothing for this reason to a home I thought was going to be for life... Unfortunately he has now been passed on several times since. I think of him every day. He was never going to set the world alight but he was my best friend and I still love him dearly.

I wish I hadn't but I knew I had to. Oshk was my lovely little coloured, I grew up and got sensible and he was still a gung-ho team chaser. He has a lovely new human who is the brave thrill seeker I used to be. Miss him every day but absolutely don't regret it.

Yes and I tried to find him and get him back. Wasn't to be though. By the time I found out who last owned him he had been through a tough time and pts.
