(not really CR but spend most time in here!)

....you have so long to think when you are falling off? I took a pearler of a fall today off poor Av, (mainly due to my incompetence and lack of balance!). During the split second it must have taken me to thump un-elegantly to the floor I had time to think 'Oh s**t I'm falling off'-'This will probabally hurt!'- 'Oh no Av's legs are getting very close'- 'I hope that she doesnt tread on me',...along with a lot of other expletives!!

... also in that very long split second my lovely Av had time to untangle her legs, miss me rolling under her hooves and jump clear leaving me with a grazed back and a sore bum rather than with a hoof shaped hole in my thigh!

thanks for reading my bruised and battered ramblings- off to heal with chocolate!

:-D

Ouch - hope the chocolates helps with quick healing :)

I find falls vary...sometimes you think about it as you are going and others you've hit the deck before you knew anything was wrong! Neither is nice!

Autumn Rose you are completely right- I had forgotten about those falls where you are not sure what happened and why you are staring up at the sky while listening to your horse canter off merrily!

Hi S...yes I am completely fine..other than a sore ass and battered pride! Was in the school and luckily she missed me and ended up just grazing my back with her foot rather than stamping on my leg, Poor Av- she was most confused!

:-D

:mad:I know what you mean sometimes I think i'm going and then may be not and then eventually I feel myself falling from a great height! It usually happens when the brakes go on and I keep going! Hope the chocolates are doing their job

oh god that always happens to me! it so wierd how everything slows down. I remember being on george once with him having an absolute broncing fit and all of a sudden everything slowing down and I was just thinking to myself 'oh here we go, its time now...'

to be fair when i took my youngster out hunting the other week (which didnt go well!!!!) i had a fair few of those moments of dread but luckily managed to stay in the plate.

anyway, hope your not too sore....my remedy normally involves hot bath, wine and chocolate!
