Have you got a lovely OH who helps?

I'd like to join in and publicly praise my husband who has gone from a slightly wary non-horsey guy to one that is capable of fetching in from the field (and since you have to go through the boys' field to get to the girls' field, fending off the boys at both gates!), grooming, feeding and filling haynets!

He's managed to avoid being trained to muck out (

) so far, but he's so much more confident around my girl than he was at first and I'm so proud and grateful that he supports me so much. Especially with my girl's injury this summer. (and the associated additional costs!)

He's even volunteered (honest, I didn't ask!) to help me dig out her deep litter bed this weekend so I can get my nice shiny new rubber matting down!

Big thanks to him and congratulations to all the other people lucky enough to have helpful OHs!

My OH is a superstar, especially at the moment. Ive got a broken leg so he has to get up at 5.30 to feed them and turn them out. He does everything. His favourite thing is fixing our fencing and he loves his boys toys (old landrover, chainsaw etc etc). He comes to shows (even dressage), gets my number, puts studs in. Couldnt do it without him. He has a horse but he doesnt ride now. He works really long hours and he also had a nasty fall last year which has put him off. He never rode before he met me so he was a novice. He does love them though.

Mine is being quite sweet. He works abroad, so hadn't even met Boo before last night. I went to get her saddle & when I came back he was grooming her & talking to her.

He held my stirrup for me last night as I got on I swung my leg over and Boo moved off and he ended up hanging onto the stirrup to stop her moving. I nearly wet myself, it was so funny! He mucked out a little too and I think he likes her.
