For the purpose of this poll, if you have fillies or colts, please count them as mares/geldings or stallions, depending on whether you plan on keeping them entire or not.

I have a mare and whichever yard I've liveried on over the years, mares have always been in the minority.

ETS: I tried to edit so you could answer more than one option ...... I failed

I have a gelding and a mare. She is my first and last, I hope! She was a gift horse and basically is fine but, my gawd, she is a filthy cow. She trashes her bed, poos and pees everywhere and is always throwing her hay in the water bucket - which she then won't drink! She is stubborn and too smart for her own good - she is the escape artist, she is also really too small for either myself or OH but I am very grateful to her for getting FB 1200km without him having a nervous breakdown. I am looking for a new horse as MoM is off to retire with a geriatric sex maniac of a gelding - she'll love him

I am only looking for a gelding or a stallion (with a view to gelding) as I have never wanted a mare.

my old girl was a mare, last loan was a gelding and current loan is a mare - definitely prefer mares since having the gelding, however he was a particularly grumpy one!

3 geldings. the yard i worked at seemed to get a rush of mares all at once we'd go from no mares at all to loads of them.

I've had 3 horses and all have been geldings. Not on purpose but thats just the way its happened but I think I'll try and stick to them with any future buys, almost all the mares I know are CRAZY!!!! lol

I have cut down on numbers, this is all I have left now.

1 x stallion + 1 colt
2 x geldings
3 x mares

Where I keep my gelding there are 12 liveries. Including mine, 8 are geldings and there are 4 mares.

Where I keep my mare, there are only 5 horses. 3 are mares and 2 geldings.
