Further to my earlier post about what you should be doing instead of being on here it came to my notice that some people on here have unpopular or scary jobs.
Go on, tell - "Who Has The Most Unpopular or Scary Job"

i have an unpopular job for some people out there!! aint going to say too much other than for some the job i do is as bad as the taxman!!!

and yep i should be working!!!!!

I'm an accountant who deals with company and personal insolvency (liquidations, bankruptcies and the like), so I'm a bit like the grim reaper. I rub my hands together with glee when the economy is floundering

And I should be working as I'm very busy at the moment but my brain is still in holiday mode...

Roadworks are my fault - dunno if that makes me unpopular or not but would you prefer driving over potholed motorways all the time? Everything has a shelflife and roads unfortunately deteriorate.

I set up the phone lines that say press 1 if you want this, press 2 if you want that etc.

not my fault the calls don't get answered quick enough or the options don't have what you want, I just do the programming behind them as requested by the Business Managers for the company I work for - large foreign exchange business and they sort the staffing levels

No its not actually! Hehe this is fun. I think I may induce more physical pain than you, fainting, vomiting, that kind of thing (perhaps not intentionally)

OMG i dont know then!! i sometimes get responses like that but not all the time!!! mmmm will have a think (plus need to leave work soon and sort out the horse!!) or you could PM me with what you do!! but can you guess what i do?!!!!!!

How can we award the scariest job title when we dont know how scary yours is. I think that Miller with the "press 1 for this and press 2 for that" job is the most unpopular so far in my books?
What does everybody else think?

Spill the beans I reckon. I did a five year stint in the Civil Service but now HR Manager. Like Dirty Harry, every piece of [****] job comes my way !

But it pays the bills and keeps the boy in shoes and the girlies in dog food so hey ho, its a dirty job but someone's gotta do it

I work in the civil service and the department I work in advise us not to say where we work to too many people

I work in the retail side of a mobile phone company, so I am basically responsible for signing people up to contracts and then having to explain that we are purely there for sales and that customer service deal with accounts when things go wrong. Not exactly a great job but I'm a student and it's the only job that pays over £9 per hour

i am a receptionist for 30 odd companies and i get to tell sales people to piss off!! I am unpopular to them but popular to others!!

brackenhappy - I hope you are one of the helpful staff rather than the ones I've had to deal with over the years. To be fair some of the staff are very nice and try to help but they don't stick in my mind like the incompetent ones! I was a manager in DWP for 18 years so I know a thing or two about how the system works and the CSA has never worked from the start in my opinion and everyone that I know who is employed by them says the same - lol

Ah, yes but - somebody has got to do the job havent they and you must gain a point for admitting it. Same with every job I suppose, there are good helpful folk and not so good helpful ones so I think you are probably one of the helpful ones so....No stones here.

Still thinking that Miller is in the lead at the moment.
