For those of you who remember back at Christmas my warmblood mare was very unwell, we thought she would have to be pts but made an amazing shock recovery!
Soon after all that drama I found a lovely lady who wanted a project while living in the Uk for six months, she didn't seem to mind that my mare was very weak and not up to much at all so I said she was more than welcome to come up and play with her whenever she liked.
This lady turned out to be a super star, wonderful friend and life saver for my mare. She started turning up three or four times a week, walking her out and grooming her, slowly getting her fitness up and really pampering her. She did an amazing job and was soon hacking her our for hours at a time three or more times a week. My mare has gone from strength to strength, getting fitter and fitter and has even been back out showjumping (and winning!). The girl who competes my mare is thrilled to have her back to her normal self, and its all thanks to this wonderful lady for putting in so much time and dedication. She is now leaving the UK for 6 months but has assured me she will pop back at Christmas to say hi and give my mare some carrots!
Thanks to this lovely lady my mare is jumping at Hickstead next Friday, and its all down to her kind help.
I'm so sad she is leaving, and I'm sure my mare will be equally upset!

aww what a nice turn out for you, its nice to here that your sharer is a lovley woman all we seem to get on here is storys of the bad ones.

Isn't it strange that in times when we need it the most and when we feel overwelming beaten and lost, someone seems to come into our lives who quietly offers gentle support without asking or cost. And then when things are better and you feel like you can really breath again, for some obscure reason or other or with very little fuss, they leave:(.

Now they really are the angels:D:D

She has been such a star and dedicated so much time to getting my horse fit and happy again!
She leaves the country on Tuesday but is popping up to the yard tomorrow for a final groom and a hug :)
