Having young horse with multiple conditions PTS

I am so sorry but you totally have made the kindest decision for your boy. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and please remember there are a lot of people on here that understand and will support you. Be kind on yourself and take time to grieve. Big big hugs x

I hope tomorrow goes as smoothly as can be expected. It's a horrible decision to have to make but the kindest thing you can do. Look after yourself.

Well done Minty - sounds like it was peaceful and calm which is all we can ever ask for at the end.

A good friend recently had to put down a 6yo cob she'd had since she was 2 after vet investigations came back with serious problem after serious problem - a couple were probably genetic and the rest the knock on effects of a body which was just too compromised. Like you she was devastated to make the decision but is sleeping peacefully at night now she isn't worrying about her little mare being in pain. I hope you find the same level of peace knowing you made the right decision at the right time xx
