My hay supplier has cut their hay at the weekend and was hoping to bale on wednesday weather promiting, my question is we have had quite abit of rain today and if we have any more rain before they bale it, will the hay be any good

if they have the right kit then it should dry out - today is going to rain but tuesday and wed. supposed to be dry.

If they have a 'conditioner' on the mower and have used it then it will be harder to dry. A conditioner breaks down the outer grass coating and is meant to help the hay dry quicker - however if a conditioner is used and then it rains, the grass can absorb more water as the outer skin is 'broken'

If they haven't used a conditioner and it's newly cut hay that gets wet it can be OK - its worse if the hay is virtually dry and then gets wet
