My horses seem to prefer their hay at the back of the stable with their bums to the door, they have their haynets on the diviging walls between their stables where they have grills between them so stand right next to each other virtually.

Where do yours prefer theirs ?

I have never really thought about it, and always put it at the front. I have never liked hay getting onto the bedding

But that is a tad silly, seeing as in the morning it's usually everywhere. Next horse will be experimented on, to see where they prefer

Don't think they mind where it goes but i put it at the back of the stable where they happily stand eating it, when i had it at the front they used to take some hay and stand munching it with head over the door so they dropped it on the floor outside wasting it.

Mines at the front near the door, hes nosey! I think if I put it at the back he would be tooing and froing to the door and his hay.

well my stable has a door out onto the outside yars and a door into the inside yard so theres not really a front or back lol however there is more space for his bed at 1 sside of stable and i have his munch station at other end in the corner nearest door leading into inside yard

he seems happy it is a big stable

Mine are at the front - I can hang them up without entering the stable, the horses can see out whilst they are stood munching and it keeps the hay away from the bedding!

My youngster has it at the front, so he can stick his beak out and keep an eye on everything. Older boy has it at back as he hates anyone near his food. I think he would spend all night guarding it!

Mine has hers at the front, in the corner opposite the door on the floor but she generally spreads it out with her nose along one side over her bed. As it's normally all gone by the morning I don't think she minds eating it off her bed.
