Has anyone used a hay ball to keep a horse occupied...( fat pony needs to stay in to reduce grass intake)
They’re pretty expensive so want to make sure peoples horses use them first.
Thanks !

I have a hay dome. My horse uses it but mostly just stands still and eats from it rather than moving about which I expected. I use mind in the field not the stable.

She does have a treat ball in the stable and probably world harder pushing that about than the hay dome.

Bought my hay dome second hand.

Me. Its genuinely the best horsey purchase I have ever made! I can fit about 4kgs of haylage in it or 2ish kgs of hay. Keeps mine busy for hours. I tend to use it in the field now but thats because I've changed my routine about.

Mine loves it and will go to play with it rather than the loose hay. If you search hay play I've posted videos of one of mine using it previously.

the Hay play is brilliant, holds as much as a net and keeps one of my boys really entertained when in his stable although I'm sure he keeps the other ponies awake with him tossing it in the air to get the hay out:)
