Hay balls and haylege

Hi,

I'd love to try hay balls with my ponies to help slow them down. However I'm unable to feed them hay. Would haylege work just as well in the balls?

Yep - I've used haylage with mine. Whilst putting it in the ball did slow her down it was still gone in 45 minutes. (Once she stopped snorting at it from the back of the stable...)
