How do people find these?
I want to get one but am a bit worried...
I have a fatty who has soaked hay at the moment double netted, so Im worried that shel wolf it down as theres nothing to stop her!!
Also I presume because there will be a gap at the bottom that I can soak the hay and any moisture will drain okout of the bottom? ...
Theres 2 different ones also I think eezhay and haybar? Is there any difference?
Thank you :)

when you put the haybar up you raise it a few inches off the ground so any seeds etc can fall through the bottom, so water will too.

i bought one for my last horse as he coliced over night and got his feet caught in the haynets when he was rolling about, so i got one to avoid it happening again. i swear by them but the horses will eat quicker and obviously eat more. :-)

im watching on one on ebay at the mo but its already up to £30 so would rather buy a new one, i absolutely detest filling haynets :-/ so i want one for both of my horses. But may have to wait for a good pay day for it ;-)

Haybars are great but one of mine just scoops it all out with his head and eats it off the floor and the Fattys had to go back to traditional wall rack as sat on it with fat bottom = broken haybar

My friend got the ezee hay from eBay buy one get one 1/2 price but I havnt seen them but I know they are purple they are quite a bit cheaper than haybar I think I've had mine for about 5 yrs and apart from fat bottom breaking one had no probs ( haybar )

Haha well hopefully she wont sit on it :)
Am mostly worried that shes going to eat it all so fast and be left with nothing, but tbh the way she rips at her haynet in anger that its double netted, shes probably eating that quite fast anyway!!

iv just been online and looked at the eezhay, looks good, and a good price to! good offer at the mo of buy one and get one half price! My tb eats adlib so is ideal for him and my mare windsucks slightly off haynets so shes better eating off the floor but she wees on it
;-)

China - my mare isnt too messy but she does tend to mix it all in with her bed if she has it on the floor so I think having it in the hay bar will at least stop her doing that!!!

Kate I think the eezhay ones were the ones MVH was selling and if so they don't seem to be as good as the haybars. I'm not sure about the long thin shape and they won't hold as much as a standard size haybar.

I know they are more expensive but I'd go for the haybar - I've often thought of it myself but I think Lu would just pull all the haylage out anyway!

There'll be no way of portion control with a hay bar.

Check the size you get. We had one of the ponies in the horse's stable - when the hay got low, he dived so far in, pulled backs and pulled the hay bar off the walls!
