Hay Belly

Hi, my horse has recently moved to a new part of the country 3 months ago. I have noticed lately that he has what I’m pretty sure is hay belly. I have no control over his hay as he is boarded. Is there any feed I can give him to help with this?

No feed will help with a hay belly. It is formed of the fibre sitting in the digestive system while the back isn't strong enough to support it. Only thing you can do about it is give the horse correct exercise where he uses his abdominals and lifts his back. Reducing hay may help but obviously you still need to provide enough of it.
