This done to death subject again, sorry!
I recently bought a very fat cob with some trust issues. And bearing said fat in mind, I need a treat to reinforce that I am a nice person and that nice behaviour leads to nice treats. She's nowhere near trusting me enough to consider a scratch or stroke a reward, but her stomach wins out.
My go to would have been Hay Cobs, previously I've used the Kramer Hard Hay Cobs as they're a nice, big, chunky hay cob that's easily fed by hand and safe to be fed as is without soaking. Unfortunately that's become complicated following Brexit and they're not currently listed on the website anyway.

My other option that I know fits the bill are Thunderbrook's HayCobs, but if I can avoid using their products I would prefer to.

I know Agrobs have their Wiesencobs, but I can't see any explicit confirmation by them that these can safely be fed dry.

So in a nutshell, recommendations for a treat that satisfies as much as the following would be appreciated! :D

- Suitable for a Fatty
- No Molasses or Alfalfa
- Ideally Cob sized as opposed to Pellet for ease of handling, feeding and stowing away in various pockets
- Purchasable in a bulk bag (eg 10kg/15kg/20kg) for a sensible price
- Safe to feed dry

Worst comes to worst I'll just suck it up and buy the TB ones, but surely there's some other product that suits my needs?

I'd happily feed any grass/hay nut/cob/pellet dry as a treat. You presumably aren't going to be feeding more than a handful or so at a time and any expansion of an amount that small that takes place in the stomach/gut isn't going to present any risk.

No one here has died of the odd agrobs one dry.

My preferred treats for a fatty are pure feeds ones (usually most economical)/hilton herballs/agrobs

I've used the agrobs ones dry as treats before with no issues other than they're a bit crumbly & make a mess of your pocket

I use a cob dry - sorry cant remember name right now, will check later - because theyre given as a treat, its literally a handful per session of ‘training’ so is vastly different to feeding a bucketful dry.

the ones i use are large round pellets - dont crumble, horses love them!

Fair point all, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really add much at all!
I'm just overthinking things :)
And yes, admittedly I am a worrywart when it comes to choke and the like, especially with a nervous but greedy pony. I've found that they can sometimes hastily grab and swallow the treat without chewing it properly to minimize human contact, and it's led to one getting choke before.
