Hi all, can anyone give me any ideas on where to get outdoor hay feeder to fit large quantities of hay in? I am debating getting a field shelter with a overhang and filling it with hay so the ponies can eat it whilst standing under the overhang, they live out and are hardy pony types, and have another shelter but thought it would keep the hay dry but give them some protection when eating. Then started thinking surely I can get hold of a hay manger style thing with a roof to fill to the brim? I have a few ponies and want to make winter as easy as possible this year! Thanks, all ideas welcome!

Wheelie bin and cut a hole at the base. Can't remember what size, but mine fits a whole small bale. Cost about £40 and bought online. Think if you do a search lots of people have done this.

Ring feeder but with small holed netting all around the hay ... Or any box/cage type thing with small-holed netting around all the hay. I bought 200ft of netting off Ebay for about £120 :p
