hay for sale in norfolk/suffolk

We are having trouble trying to get hold of hay for our horses. Our supplier for the last couple of years sold all his hay elsewhere, without offering any of it to us!!!!

I rang to order some more hay, as I've done for the last 2 years only to be told he hadn't got any! Despite the fact that we'd previously asked how much stock he'd got and were told he'd got plenty for us.

I'm guessing he made much more for it selling elsewhere but would have been nice to have been offered the chance to pay more, as would have paid an increase as we know there's a shortage. We now have very little hay.

Does anybody know of any farmers selling hay in Norfolk or Suffolk? we can collect in our horse box if needed.

I'm starting to panic!!!

Sorry, local suppliers I know are selling to known customers only but I did hear today that there are good supplies in Lincolnshire. Don't know if this is true or not!

Lots of haylage around - all the good hay has been taken and most of what is left at an affordable price is questionable quality.

Have decided to go for haylage from known source rather than scraping around for expensive dubious hay - would prefer hay but thats the way it goes this year.
