Does anyone know where we can get (preferably) hay or haylage in West Sussex? We would be happy with 2009 (if there's any left!) or 2010 cuts. The local tack shops have all stopped supplying, our usual supplier has run out and we're struggling to find a replacement. Can collect.

Thanks!

Sorry can't help, we are in the same situation so will be interested to hear if there is any available in West Sussex. My horse has been on box rest for 2 weeks & managed to get 10 bales (that's all they could sell me) and it's £6 per bale already :( xx

We had to sweet talk our hay man a few weeks ago and he's putting aside our hay for the winter (2,000 bales) and that's all he'll have ... It might be worth calling around suppliers in older editions of the Friday Ads, etc, to see if they have any left?

Our horses live out but cos of the lack of rain, the fields are bare. Have tried the local farmers and previous advertisers but to no avail. Getting desperate! :(:(

have u tried sussex haylage that is were we get our haylage from at work (I work at Golden Cross in East Sussex) we r getting this years stuff from them and seems ok
Alixx

I don't know where abouts you are in W. Sussex but we always get our hay from the luckins at wisborough Green. They did have some £5 hay a week or two ago, they might have some left. If not then all I can suggest is Field and Forrest (in between Pulborough and Storrington) they did have a few bales the other day, or bearsden at kingsfold might be able to get you some.

Good luck

We've managed to get some bales from our regular supplier - £6 a bale but we have at least got some! Yippee!!:D

ETA: Thank you to everyone and their suggestions - much appreciated!!

I know someone who has big bale square haylage and conventional hay bales near Hickstead, they could probably deliver too. Pm me and I will give you their details.
