I have a very small producer who grows a few acres of hay on her small holding. She's been supplying me for years, £2 a bale & good quality '07 hay. She stores it for me in a fully enclosed barn & I go & collect bales as I need it:)

£6.50 or £5.50 depending on which supplier we go to- normal price for us given transport costs to get it here.

However this year we're on haylage as the horses were reluctant to eat last year's hay- spoilt and too used to the good life!
Haylage is normally either £7.25 a bale or £6.00 depending on which supplier we use. the cheaper stuff was hit or miss- we did get a few mouldy bags that had to go back, although the guys love it.
