Any tips on getting it out easily and quickly. Pony seems to mix so much of it into his whole bed. Shavings fork is very time consuming. Thanks.

haha I was having this issue this morning! my horse had a massive pile of hay that he's not eating, on top of his bedding, was a right paid to try and separate it, without wasting lots of good bedding!

Thanks for the replies. Might try the leaf rake as I wouldn't be able to pick it out by hand as it would take me all day as the whole bed has been mixed with bits of hay!....It like so messy with all the hay stuck in it :(

I have a leaf rake from the garden centre - works a treat!

Me too. Mine has ad lib straw in a wheelie bin for when his hay runs out and he throws it about all over. I use a deep shavings fork to pick up the main droppings, then lightly rake the whole bed. It picks up all the little bits of droppings and hay/straw. It doesnt really pick up any bedding either. The trick is to use a LW rake, mines a cheapy plastic one, and the just run it gently over the top
