I've got a new shiny Ifor Williams trailer.....that is clearly too clean to ever put a horse in! lol

But when the time comes (soon) which would be best to minimise hay waste on the floor...Hay Net or Hay Bag?

Anyone got any experience of hay bags? To me they seem like they would produce less mess on the floor but I've not had one before. Cheers.

I've just started using a hay bag along side his haynet in the stable. I can definitely tell the difference, there's a lot less mess below the hay bag then there is below the net. I can imagine this would be even better with the bags with a mesh too but haven't tried them.

I have a Shires one with the mesh opening it does help but if it swings round they can't get the hay out so I have to tie it in a certain way. Much less mess than a normal haynet.

Great thanks, I did wonder what would happen if it flipped round and they couldn't get the hay out. I'll have to come up with some inventive way to secure it so my beasts can't destroy it.
