Hi, just wondering what other people are finding with their grazing at present...

In years gone by I have known when to stop feeding hay as the horses have just stopped eating in when the grass got better. However as the weather has been so bad this year I have kept feeding hay for longer. Now the grass seems to he coming through but Tue guys are still going for the hay.

Is there

My two are still eating hay in the field they are out 24/7 but have hay morning and night and its all gone. I will carry on feeding hay untill they stop eating it .

It probably depends on the condition of your horse, one of mine is looking well so no hay for him, the other still recovering condition from doing badly over winter so he's still coming in for hay and hard feed.
If they need a bit of condition and still want hay I'd carry on, if they are good doers I'd stop a little in advance of the grass anyway.

Have cut down to a tiny night haynet each & they still eat it. Usually my mare stops eating hay in the spring
