How much will I pay a day with a 16hh horse in 12hrs a day?

My fattie gets about 6kg a night in winter after grazing all day but if in early probably another 2kg. Thats £9- 12 a day in hay or £270 - £360 a month which is absolutely extortionate. My hay bill in winter is around £60 a month.
That is either a mistake or a crazy idea, you can buy a small bale of haylage for around £6-7 which will weigh in the region of 20kg unless you are tied in to buying it from the yard, I still think it will be a mistake, then buy your own even getting small bales of haylage will be a huge saving and easy to collect and store.
I feed adlib to my liveries and cost it at about £2 per day/ £15 per week which easily covers it as one or two don't eat huge quantities.
