What are people paying for hay at the moment?

I have the same supplier for a few years an paid £40 for an 8ft 4string. In July it went up to £45.............Yesterday i had a message to say that the price has now gone up to £85

If anyone can reccommend a supplier that is taking on new customers, please let me know. I know that's going to be a problem though, not many are supplying to anyone new!!

I'm in the Midlands, currently paying £50 been told it will go up to £90 in January. I've moved onto haylage as that doesn't seem to be in such short supply.

I've only heard of supplier 'looking after good customers' I'm afraid.

You could try Jane Lunn of JJ farming Fodder solutions on FB. They don't advertise prices unfortunately but seem to PM people that ask.

Woolsbridge or Hayters may be able to help?

Or you could look through older adverts on Dorset equestrian or Hampshire hooves.

My guy is looking after us and a few good customers, but prices have already risen this winter from what he told us it would be earlier in the year.

Not Dorset but as a perspective. Last month my supplier was charging £60 for a large rectangular bale. I ordered a couple more bales last week and was told that they had gone up to £75 a bale. They were delivered today and definitely look a bit smaller than the previous ones.
