Hi there,

I just wondered if anyone knows of any hay suppliers that have any left? We usually get deliveries from Brian Luke and Jimmy Maxwell but both have run out so if anyone knows of any suppliers that can deliver to the Highlands, please tell me because our horses will starve

it is a flippin nightmare. my usual farmer has had his hay ruined, cut it but rain came before he could bale it. lost 100 acres of barley too. i have had to hunt for another supplier, i feel so sorry for him. what area are you in?

Hi!!

Thanks for the replies. We are in the north west highlands and good hay fields are few and far between. The local farmers are very stretched this year

Usually we get ours cut from Stirlingshire, Perthshire, Lothians etc but I just can't seem to find any this year

I guess I might have to resort to buying the super expensive, miniscule bales of haylage for £8 a bale which lasts two days ahhhhhh...
I'm sure something will come up...fingers crossed...

Hi we have the same problem here. Where abouts are you? we get ours from ewan stewart or aj muir on mull but they don't usually deliver at his time of year although it won't be long now. I try to get a couple of tonne in apr/may to last through to the winter, otherwise like you we have to go onto the haylage from harbro.
