My pony aged 33 still able to eat hay but won’t eat any that lands on stable floor, she has a very large holed net as can’t manage to eat from standard small hole, she will pull out the whole net during the night and a majority of it doesn’t get touched, have tried a hay sling but she does the same , any tips as she is wasting so much hay .

I have the same problem, but luckily for me I also have 2 Shetlands, I call them the Clean up Squad. What my mare leaves on the floor is their morning ration😂

You could always just put it back in a net. I keep the floor under the net clear so it’s easy to just scoop it back up.

one of mine does this, i just collect it up and give it to her sister for breakfast, or put it back in the net😂 thankfully she doesn’t tend to mix it all together! what about just a big bucket underneath? or a big dustbin/feed bin with some bricks in the bottom to keep it still, if she’s not the sort to mess about with it?

When was the last time she saw a dentist?

there is a company who does corner hay feeders, it keeps them off the floor but still easy to eat. I think they are called nose bagz
