Is there a shortage of good hay in your part of the world.

Yes! We have this cruddy floppy stuff at the moment. The excuse as to why it's damp is 'it's haylage'. But guess what? I've never seen haylage like that before ¬_¬

Not as far as I'm aware. Still paying £2.50 per bale, so guessing it would have gone up if there was a shortage.

nope 'i think in the wet south east theres a glut-I have a barn full of the stuff that im selling at 1.50 collected as cant see my yard using it now|!!

My supplier had run out but he got me some 'really good stuff' yeh right, its really thick, got stacks of twiggy stuff in it and is as dusty as anything PLUS it was £2.75 a bale rather than the £2.00 a bale I paid last time

I don't think that she will need it for much longer though the grass is really starting to come through now

Not here......I'm a hay farmer

. We don't run out of hay....we just make more money when others do.

Hay this year here is going to be very short on the ground in my area though; so am expecting prices to sky-rocket nearer the winter. Will be good for my business but sadly others will not be so happy.
