Even Rokers and Frosburys are cheaper than that. £6 is very pricey.
OP hasn't been back.... 🤔

Our local feed shop is £6 and always seem to have a steady stream of people buying. I pay £5 which is the norm here. My guess is livery yard buying it in at £5 then putting £1.50 on top.

The question was how much hay. The OP didn’t ask our opinion on whether this was acceptable or what we thought of their yard choice 🙄

I agree, it’s irrelevant what others think about the TO. if it works for the OP and there’s nothing else suitable then she’ll make it work. We’ve all been in situations where nag have changed on yards making it unsuitable for a while. And yes there are plenty of places in the UK that could easily be an hours’ drive to a decent yard
