Can you get shetland sized one's? Only ask as i'm fed up of sifting all the hay out of his bed when ever he's in. He's too short for a hay net so have to put it on the floor but has an annoying habbit of playing with it and dragging it through his bed. Have tried putting it in a tubtrug, but he either picks it up in his teeth and flings it round the stable or plays football with it. Either way same outcome. If you cant get them, do you have any suggestions to what i can do..? Thankies

If a haybar is one of those things you fix to the wall to hold the hay, then can't you just get one and fit it lower down than you normally would? (I may be way off the mark here

Why not a hay net as long as its hung at or slightly above shoulder height it should be ok? or second thought are you giving him too much hay?
 
I was told off by the vet for giving him a hay net, it was giving him bad teeth! cant hang it too low as even with a small holed hay net he can still put his feet through it. And no he barely gets any when he's in as he's a little fattie, but as he's only a baby he still plays with everything, hasnt learnt that its for eating not making a nest...!
 
my hubby made me a thing to go in the corner to keep hay in place. It was just ply cut to the size I wanted and then to peices of stuff for the wood to slide up and down in fastened to eitherside of the corner. Its great and can be removed to get rid of all the seeds etc.
