Can anyone help?
I have been really impressed by the Haybar that was installed in my horses stable a few months ago. I was concerned at first he would chomp it all really quickly and trail it round his bed, but he hasnt!
I am moving yards soon (new job) and would love to continue to use a Haybar, but none of the corners in his new stable will be suitable

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy one that attaches to a straight bit of wall, rather than a corner?
Fingers crossed!

Very good point wormhugs! I've pondered the exact same thing myself off and on. I'd get in touch with Haybar themselves, maybe customer services. If they DO make a "straight" one, they can tell you about it and if they DON'T then you ought to get commission on all the profits they will make when they bring one out lol!!!

Ooh, keep me posted too please H! I don't have any suitable corners in my stable either, so Rana has hers out of a tub trug - which she promptly knocks over and drags the hay out of. A straight hay bar would be wonderful!

Boooo. Have just had an email back from Haybar saying that they need to be fitted into a corner, and no mention of royalties for suggesting that one that attches to a straight wall would be a good idea

Pah, how useless! Can you make something? Or perhaps a different type of hay manger? Attaching a tub trug to a wall?

Or maybe you could design a straight hay bar, patent it, and sell it to Haybar?!

Will PM you shortly...Want to know what the new yard is like!

Sorry, can't help, get one built?

Way back in the mists of time, we had stone troughs, haybars if you like, along the back walls of our old farm stalls for the draft horses, and a trap door above. Hay was dropped down to the trough and dust and old hay was removed via a drawer that could be opened at the bottom.
