hayfever ?

My 3yr old mare developed a rash all over her flank, side and a little on her withers, I've since noticed she rubs her eyes a little and has a runny nose, after exercise she also sounds a little rattley, I had hibiscrub washed the rash incase it was bacterial but it only faded slightly, I also suffer with hayfever and take clarityn or piriteze and it helps! Do I get the vet out? Will it be covered by insurance? Or is there anything I can try?

At the very least, I would call the vet for a telephone appointment to discuss your horse's symptoms..

I have spoken to the vet on Friday, she said it was likely to be a reaction to fly bites/ midges or pollen before I looked for the other symptoms.
