Anybody have the steamer, have been looking at the Hay-GO. Just wanted to know what peoples thoughts on them are, don't mind soaking hay in summer, but winter it gets a little cold............:D

Get a wallpaper steamer and wheelie bin - much cheaper.

I tried the large Haygain (holds one small bale) but found I couldn't steam enough hay (I'm feeding 8 in the winter) and went back to my large plastic tank and wall paper stripper.

My yard has one of the large ones - holds one small bale. It does enough hay for a large yard (probably about 30 horses) even when we were all stuck in in winter, although obviously needs the YO to be regularly swapping bales around. I think it's fab and I think everyone should have one! (if only they weren't so expensive...)

My friend has one, it is a doddle to use, she sets it all up ready to go again as she takes the steamed bale out and has it on one of those timer switch thingies so its always ready for when she next wants one. It was lovely feeding warm hay in the snow to the horses.

I would definitely consider one for mine - I usually feed haylage as one of mine coughs on dry hay...
