The normal small haylage bales approx £6-7

How much do you give the average 16hh tb?
Normally gets adlib
I know they are conpressed and im currently sharing large bales.

Just wondered in case i start buying my own!

I did the small bales for a couple of weeks before I moved yards to save buying a big bale as usual - and wished I hadn't bothered! I was using one a day between two horses overnight! Ouch! Would have been cheaper to buy a big bale and only use half!

Yes I thought it may be dearer.

Im currently thinking of moving yards if i do they currently only have hay.
My horse will it hay but i was just checking out the costs and amounts.
I fill his hay bar currently from the large sharer bale, Id probably end up using the whole small bale just for him over night!

My 15.2hh would eat one of the small bales (like the horsehage size) probably overnight  We were splitting 1 between 2 ponies who were out 24/7 just as an 'extra' and giving them less than we would if we had a large bale, but just enough for there to be a point... and still only getting 2 days out of it, just giving them some in the evening/inside out of the worst weather. Thankfully they are getting by without as I have no where to store hay yet, and there's no point getting a large bale for 2 of them.

10.5 x 20kg small bale haylage per week ad-lib for two 15.2hh cobs out on literally pickings of grass during daytime and in at night.

My 13.2hh nf goes through 3 small bales of haylage a week (high fibre horse hage). he has about 3 slabs and has 2 haynets mixed in with it per day. i buy the haylage, the hay is part of livery costs. It is expensive as its £7.65 per bale! But if he has a big roll, he just pigs out so i would rather do it this way.
