As title really, am looking for a haylage supplier local to the Exeter area. Saw a supplier today called Sampson near to Chudleigh, havnt contacted as yet, but does anyone have any good or bad comments. Also does anyone have the details of any other suppliers? Thankies in advance?

Hi, sampson are supposed to be good. Town and Country also do very good haylage, and not badly priced.

I have a friend that lives near exeter she uses rollestone feeds. She looked at the stuff Town and Country had but the first bale they sent her was off! She was horrified at the quality. It was also made from italian ryegrass, totally unsuitable for horses unless they are racing, far too high in protein and energy. Like rocket fuel!

Hi I use sampsons, very good hayledge, sometimes the bags get ripped, if theres anything you don't like, will exchange, and very helpfull in putting the bales where you want them, I have always been happy with his service.

Hi all, I can recommend Rollestone Feeds, they are a customer of mine and they have a very good reputation and are genuine nice people. Well worth a look for any equestrian related stuff. I did also see whilst out mountainbiking last week a farmer at Stowford (back end of Yettington) with feed and bedding for sale. Might be worth a look, if in the area.
