I used to pay £25 for a big round bale - delivered. That was in Yorkshire year before last. When I lived nr Enfield about 5 years ago the price was about the same.
£16 for a square one (delivered), which isn't the largest one. it's probably medium. i think it's 125kg. it's VERY nice stuff.
or £5 for a small one (bit bigger than normal haybale) when i'm slack and forget to order a big delivery and have to go pick one up in my Yaris...
Cool just wanted to get arough idea as we pay £35 a big square bale, delivered we usually get 12 bales delivered at a time as ther's 6 of us at my yard that share, so we pay for 2 each. 12 bales usually lasts us about 6/8 weeks

I am paying £20 for 220KG bales, I thought that was medium?

i call them medium because the haylage place does £5 ones, £16 ones and (i think) £25 ones. so i always presumed they were small, medium and large... but i have no idea what size they actually are...
