Hayling

Hello, welcome!😁

Love a beach! I'm not anywhere near you but hopefully someone will be along to help.

If not, this might be the kind of question that would get more answers on a local FB site if you have one?

There's a car park, probably full of shingle after the weekend.

Given the forecast this week, I'd be very careful about when you go, tides are extremely high on the south coast at the moment, and Hayling is somewhere you can get cut off very quicky if you don't know it well.

I’ve been regularly and was planning to go next Monday. About 90 minutes drive. Not sure if back to normal then?

I’d only advise going about an hour before or after low tide as won’t get cut off that way.

Right down the very end of the beach access road, by the cafe.
Thank you, is that Beachlands car park?

Yes I'm going to wait fro the weather to improve.

I've ridden on the beach before and she'd fine. Brqcklesham is even further from me. I can go to Studlands but you have the hassle of getting a permit and it works out quite expensive.

How is she with multiple types of surfers?

Lots of windsurfers and kite 🪁 surfers 🏄 today at Hayling. They are large and fast and unpredictable though did halt landing one to let us pass close by. Horses not bothered.

We also had one troublesome barking and jumping up behind us dog with no recall, but all survived. Everyone else lovely. Parking for lorry or Horsebox is now £16.20.

We went hour before and after low tide. But didn’t realise was a small tide so water didn’t go out much. More beach to enjoy if low tide is closer to 1m versus 2.5m. But still good fun.

There is some sinking sand and shingle so be aware.
