Generally do not use - always think that hay fed on the floor is better - but....when hay is in short supply / i.e. V expensive - best not to waste - then make sure that nets are tied properly - to baler twine, high as possible, and that string can break if horse gets tied up in. Had a whole winter ( a few years ago) where horses fed from them, with no problems.
