Where can you buy haynets (haylage nets) fairly cheaply my boy has decided it is fun to destroy them so in need of some new ones. Probably need about 8-10 ( he has wrecked 5 in the last 10 days!) Have looked on most websites and ebay and most seem to be £5 plus for a decent sized so would skint me pretty quickly of this carries on! I like to fill all my nets for the week on my day off to help me after work so its a bit of a pain only having a few. Any ideas greatly appreciated! x

Check out Ebay...also check Ebay for "job Lot" under the equestrian section as someone maybe selling a bundle off?

Check out your local Tack Sales/Equine Car Boots etc.

See if anyone on your yard have any spare that they would take a couple of quid for...I for one have too many/spares...You might have a hoarder on your yard like me?!!?

Any chance you can feed the hay from the floor? Or from a haybar - I know they're expensive, but at the rate your horse is destroying them, it might work out cheaper in the long run!

Not cheaper in the short term but I saw an advert on another forum for a retired fisherman making haynets out of rope that were meant to be indestructible they were £10 each. Let me know if you would like the link.

If they arent completely trashed just tie the holes shut with baling twine won't cost you anything and if he is a serial haynet wrecker you will be buying 5 new every week and it will bankrupt you. Also try double netting it and then if there are holes in 1 net in 1 place and a different place in another it will still work.

In the long run though hay on the floor or in a haybar is probably your best option as if you are constantly buying new haynets this will soon pay for itself.
