Hey there
I currently have the HB506 that I love, but she is year 2011 and I am considering upgrading for a newer model. I am wondering if it is getting the most recent year of the HB506 and if so what year is that? Is it 2019? Or worth going for the HBX506. I don’t know if it is too new to see any decent reviews as yet? I am not sure about the glass panel at the front (not sure I want my mate to see the oncoming traffic in full?!?) and does it provide substantial ventilation whilst in the move like the windows in the HB506? What other benefits are there to the HBX506 that I am not getting with my HB506? X

I had a HB506 previously & now have a HBX511. I find the HBX much more solid due to aluminium sides etc, my boy & every other horse I've travelled in it has loaded & travelled well - no sweating up even on hot days. I find the windows fine for ventilation & mines a bit of a sticky loader so I think the extra light helps with the big front window. The back ramp also being able to open like a door is super handy too.

My HB506 at the time of selling had the usual issues starting to occur with a panel softening & one of the front struts perishing - none of that with the newer ones.

Why do you find the opening the back ramp as a door handy? Just interested to know really? Also did you get the front ramp or tack room? X

Easier for loading small bales of hay, can have a round bale easily loaded by a tractor & it's easier to brush out & clean without everything getting stuck on the ramp 😂 Simple things really! I have the front ramp as I like it all opened up when I load.
