I very nearly bought the HBx511 around covid time. Really liked the look, the fact it was all aluminium. But i travel youngstock and didnt like the fact they horses could see more at the front if that makes sense. The agent did say you could buy additional panels to blank that off, but i didnt see the point. So i bought a new 511. Pleased with my choice
ive no idea on that. The one i bought is stiil like new, but tbf it doesnt get used a lot. I had an ifor 511 years ago, and that had 2 panels go, but it must have been 10 years old. Was relatively inexpensive to sort at the time
The HBX 511 looks far more futuristic, but there doesn't seem to be any extra ventilation from those large plexiglass panels. I prefer the HB 511 with the small sliding windows, the fixed windows are again useless for ventilation and my horse will always come off a dripping mess without the sliding windows.
HBX was very bouncy when I went in the car towing with a friend! I’ve got a cheval touring trailer and the ride is far smoother!! For horse and the person towing! Totally put me off having one x
I had a HB506 & now a HBX511, I was drawn to the aluminium mainly as my older one rotted & needed panels replacing. Also my sticky loader & loves the big windows for the light plus he's nosy! Lots to like with the HBX - back opening like a door easy for cleaning etc, I like the sliding rails & padding etc. He's a hot horse & I travelled him 2 hours the other week in 23 degrees & he was cool - surprising how much air gets in through the front & pop out windows.
