AIIIIEEE!
Sososososo happy!
Yup, we fetched the little hairy monster this morning! He loaded perfectly, despite the fact that we were practically parked on the main road. He munched his way through a whole haynet during the journey - It didn't phase him at all!
So we arrived and led him up and down the barn a couple of times, just to get him used to it. He said hello to the other horses, and tried to stick his head into any buckets he saw lying around.
He seemed perfectly relaxed, so we put him in the loose box we're borrowing (we won't have our own for two weeks, but being a native, JJ doesn't really need one) and groomed him, because he'd obviously been rolling!
He looked gorgeous after we'd shined him up
He's a mouse dun, and looks like a little bear!
We made a new friend who was really nice and helped us remove the two inches of mud!
After a couple of hours of fussing over him, we tacked him up and took him out into the school for a lookie. The saddle he came with is awful - It's very plasticy, and makes a disgusting noise, so after we'd all had a 'go' on him (me, my two sisters, Ellie(the new friend) and the daughter of the friend who transported him for us. He was a bit nervous, so we let him have a good look at everything, and then whipped off the saddle and went bareback! He was so well behaved, and so comfy xD
He's very unfit and overweight though, but pretty good, considering he hasn't been ridden for six weeks. And sooooooooo sweet!
I'm so happy
Plus, we're hoping to join Sorcy and enter him in some lead rein shows in march!
