Hi
After some fantastic advice off some people on here, and around 100 hours of practice (yes really!!) my horse will now load, stand quietly on the trailer, with the ramp up& bars in place!
I posted on here for advice as he was terrified of the box- layered in sweat just trying to load him& bucking& broncing once on the trailer.
We put the ramp up for the first time today whilst he was stood on the trailer & he was so chilled he was nodding off! Stood on the trailer for ages& was completely fine!
Really chuffed! Seems like hard work does sometimes pay off. Lots more work needed & then short trips but I'm really hopeful we are getting there!
Loving my horsey! Thanks for all the advice I had !

Well done. Goes to show that practice makes perfect. Loading needs to be part of a horses general training regime.
Keep up the good work

Thank you! Lots of patience& time. I know it's sounds like a small thing but it's huge progress to us as he was such a stresshead with the trailer! Thanks! X z

Although I missed your post and didn't offer any advice I would just like to say a massive well done to you. I know how difficult it is having a horse that wouldn't load and just how much time, dedication and patience (sp?) it takes to work through the issue so big well done to you and what a lovely post thanking all who offered you advice :)
