.... To the first pleasure ride of the season and two weeks to his first grown up graded ride and my horse has bashed himself in the field and thrown a splint.

He was doing so well too. Disappointed but hopefully he won't be out of action long.

Just having a "one thing after another" moan. I need a string of horses and a money tree. :D

Pointless post. Feel free to air your frustrations here if you like.

last year spent ages getting ready for our first dressage test ever and then 3 days before she goes and puts a big hole in her tendon!

My vet and physio both said Alf could come back into work, after nearly a year off - and he only goes and gets a staph infection in one leg. Currently scabby and hopping, and having daily vet visits...Meh!

Mine a pointless moan too, a bit of a different subject and I probably just need a slap, after endless months of soul searching about being too big/heavy/tall for my lovely little fine build section D I found him a wonderful new home, I was very attached to him and miss him terribly.

Threw myself into looking for another as you do, after all isnt that what I wanted? I found a horse that fits my requirements perfectly had a first ride out and he didnt put a foot wrong but I just didnt enjoy it. I have no feelings towards him one way or another.

Why cant I be happy and take to my new horse?! I wish I could get over my old one so I can at least form a relationship with this very nice very obliging everything ive ever wanted horse?

Sorry for moaning, I shouldnt be moaning at all!

Deano is due in on Wednesday for his final set of special shoes which will be followed by another five weeks of no turn out. I'm feeling very very sorry for him not getting out to play with his friends when the days are dry, bright and so much longer now :(:( my poor boy.

5th December, 3 days before we were due to go to our first ever XC clinic, Pippa goes lame. Luckily the vet was at the yard so I asked her to check her over, she found a corn. Off comes her shoe, bandage on, boxrest. Friday vet comes back to check up on her. Nope she was still lame. Fast forward 1 month she got the all clear, so I started bringing her back into work. A week after being bought back into work we had a little trot, and guess what? She was lame.

Called the vet back out the following week, but it wasn't the corn it was something else. So off she pops into horsepital for a couple of days. Vet reckons she has inflammation around the area of the coffin joint. So she had bar-shoes put on, anti-inflammatory injected into the area and 2 weeks of restricted paddock turnout. The vet is due on the 27th. If she gets the all clear fab, I can forget about it all and move on. If not, she's off to liverpool for an MRI. Absolutely dreading wednesday to say the least :(

Horses ay! Who'd have them :p

I hope everyone's horses having current problems get well soon.

Coldfeet, the only horse i've been besotted with since buying her turned out to also be the only disaster I've bought. Stick with your new boy, the relationship will come with time. :)

....before our first bash at 25 mile endurance, when he stood on a stone and bruised his bl**dy foot, about 8 miles from home. Not a good day, but thankfully a distant memory as it was in 1986 :D

Hi everybody - how helpful to have "moan therapy" at our fingertips!:( So sorry to hear of all your disapointments & vet disasters

Mine's a bit different, but heartfelt all the same. Lost my "lifetime boy" to navicular last year - he was only 10. Rushed to buy (cheaply) a lovely NF baby to back & bring on to take my mind off my loss.

He's been brilliant & quick to learn, every step was easy until 2 weeks ago when he suddenly hit "Terrible Teens", dumped me twice & I'm now too scared to carry on!! My brilliant instructor is going to help me all she can BUT how I wish I hadn't rushed in & bought a baby. Should just point out I have backed & ridden away several earlier ponies with no problems - but I'm now 54, with a half knee replacement & a lot less bottle!!

Real problem - I'm very fond of this lad who didn't ask to be bought by a wimp! and I feel so responsible for his future. Just don't feel that future includes me! What I need is a safe hack that likes to go low level XC & SJ.

OK moan over - thanks for listening & I'm just going to have to kick myself into finishing the job. Hope all your problems get solved too.:)

Not horsey but il have a moan...

Fed up of doing things for people and no thank yous at work. Also people taking credit for my work.

being on a rubbish salary when i have more responbilties then some people in the company but get paid less then them...

The car just generally being broken... and costing me roughly 200 pounds a month to maintian...

Sorry thought i would join in.. but i dont have a horse which is what i wanna be able to achieve one day in my sad little life LOL!

Arena hire booked for Monday to do some jumping before we move yards and Dad's horse has a fat knee
He had a bath yesterday and the first thing he does after is have a roll so hopefully the big fud has just knocked himself and it'll be down by tomorrow.

Hope all the injured ones recover quickly :)

Horses first day out after a week on box rest for having typical TB feet so fingers crossed i go down tonight and she is still sound ...:o

And for good measure i had a MASSIVE shouting match with one of my security guards today. It was not pretty and im still fuming now. I swore though and i've always said if you swear in an argument you loose

Not looking forward to Monday when we all have to sit down with my boss and 'work it out'
