As you know from Wednesday Dressage report Beacon was in the bad books, BIG style
Despite another night with no sleep and LOTS of pain I have had the most amazing day. Dad and his new girlfriend (She is really nice) came to watch. I lunged Beacon for a few mins just to warm him up. Then got on and took him over a few practise fences, all seemed well so we went in the arena, well he jumped fantastically!!!! Flew everything in great style too, even taking off at the correct point, listening to my half halts and even when he did not want to listen the gag mean't he HAD TOO! BUT stupid me had missed a fence out so we were eliminated :girl_devil: BUt I was still over the moon with him.
Took him in the intermediate class which was supposed to be mostly 2ft 9in but because the class was so big it ended up being mostly 3ft to get the numbers down, lots more fillers and the distance on the double was long, with a silly related distance before it :girl_devil: was too difficult for that level. So he struggled and stopped at the 2nd part of the double, but it was such an honest stop I did not mind, bought him round again missing the related distance one and he flew it and the following huge spreads!!
He was jumping out of his skin today, one girl said 'bloody hell do you have velcro on those breeches?' lol I was certain thrown up a lot lol just glad it looked as bad as it felt
Well Done Beacon
What a fantastic Day he was so good it is untrue, so looks like I would be mad not to stick to the American gag for jumping as he just goes so well in it. Of course how long it will last is another matter, have a Jump lesson on Thursday so we will see
Not feeling too good again so off to bed, night night ALL
