This morning 3 inconsiderate drivers upset F so much later he tried to rear, spin and take off at a slow approaching car.
F has always been good in traffic but today a rattly IW horse trailer, twice, and a small van passed us on the lane too close and too fast.
I know there have been many threads about this however I apologise as the replies are mostly gobbledegook to me
Please would the clever folk of HHO recommend a simple head cam system for a technological numpty.
Also note I have a mobile phone I rarely use, from which I have never sent a text and occasionally forget how to turn on and I use an iPad not a computer.
Thank you

I am sorry to hear of this incident. Please report this incident to the BHS Horse i App or www.horseincidents.org.uk web site as the BHS collect statistics of the type of incident, time, date and location of it for statistical purposes which they use when negotiating with central and local government to improve the safety of horse riders and carriage drivers. In addition you could organise a Police Slow Pass Operation along this stretch of road, which involves a ridden or driven horse being observed by Police Officers and any dangerous drivers are stopped and talked to. To organise a Police Slow Pass Operation contact the Safety department of the BHS H.Q As regards cameras I use the Techalogic DC-1 as it films both forwards and backwards. and if you buy it directly from them and use the code (PWAS1) you get a 7% discount! www.techalgic.co.uk. Also take a look at the Facebook Pass Wide and Slow Pages as this will give you more insight in to reporting incidents of this nature.

I love my techalogic dc1! Great quality, easy to work and instant footage can be downloaded to your phone or laptop! The quality is so clear ?

Apologies.. this is what I mean by technologically useless.
Use phone? I can make a call,, take a photo and that’s about it.
Download?? I have an iPad which is used for facebook messages, reading the news, emails and HHO.
Mr M has set it up for me and then despairs how many times he has to re-explain what to do.

The Apeman connects to WiFi and it's really easy to download the footage onto your phone via their app.
The download is pretty slow but it is easy to do.

Meredith! What I do is at the end of each ride I connect the Techalogic DC-1 camera by cable to my desk top computer and download the days footage. I can then view it on the desk top computer using installed software (VLC Media) and either keep it or delete it. It takes front and rear footage.

Does that mean I have to connect a phone to the camera with some sort of cable?
No, you just press a button on the camera. The camera then creates its own WiFi network. Then go to your phone's settings and connect to that WiFi. Then you're connected to the camera.
Then you just open the app and off you go.

Thank you for trying. I don’t know anything about settings or apps. Mr M keeps telling me about apps but I still don’t understand what they are.
I will read about the head cams suggested ( and others ) and see if I can work it out.
I have already looked at the dc1. Do I have to buy all the things listed as you scroll down. I don’t know what some of them are.

It comes with everything you need to get started. I would suggest you buy a bigger gb sd card for inside, just for memory purposes. I got one from asda .. 32gb for £8
