I'm looking to get my daughter a head cam for Christmas.
O know most people recommend the Gopro Hero 3 but once I have bought all the accessories needed to go with it it is way out of my price range.
Has anyone used the 4Kam bullet camera and if so what are they like?
Worth the money or not?
Many thanks in advance

It worries me that the camera also comes with extra stuff that you also have to carry around on you, as the hat cam I have used contained a SDR that just came out and was plugged into a laptop. This is the one I was looking at http://www.hedcamz.com/, and also the Original Hat Cam company had a similar version for sale for £99

I decided on a Drift HD instead of the Go Pro and I cant fault it so far.

This was recorded using it

If you select the YOUTUBE button in the bottom right to take you to youtube itself, then select the little white cog in the bottom right corner you can select the 1080p HD option and watch it at its highest quality.

Cost me £105 from the above companies ebay store - was supposed to be reconditioned but i think they accidntally sent me a new one!

EDIT - STILL ON SALE AT THE MOMENT - £105 delivered - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRIFT-HD-...ctronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item2585ec2894

We've got the Muvi - from Amazon for about £30. It has about an hour recording time witht he card it come with - or 8 hours until the battery runs out if you buy a bigger card. It can clip to the BP or jacket or gaffer tape it to the hat. Its been brilliant for us. Plus a Hi Viz jacket that says "Smile you're on camera" to encouage motorists to behave!

I have permission from the photographer to use these photos as long as he is credited (as watermark on the image)

I find it really easy to use. It comes with a remote (you can just see the black strap around my left arm on the first photo) so you can choose when to record and when not to.

Can't fault it so far :)

This is the one I have.

For the money you just can't fault it. It has buttons on the actual camera to turn off and on, no remote, just plug it in via the USB cable that it comes with and bobs your uncle. You'll need to remember to get the appropriate memory card as well though.

Here's a vid of me falling off filmed on mine ;)

(Please excuse my post fall grumpiness, lol)

I'm with Paint me proud on the HD Drift. I use mine for XC (plenty on YouTube to show the quality, carefreegirl1971)
It's about the size of a mars bar (other chocolate bars are available :wink3:) and it beeps when you press record on the wrist band and again when you stop it so you know if it's recording or not. Just take the memory card out and pop it in the laptop. It's a bit heavy on the batteries - 2 x AA but worth it. Mine was £60 from eBay.

We have just bought a Polaroid XS100HD Hi-Definition Sports Camera XS100 and it's really good. Showed some footage to a professional film editor friend last night and she was impressed with the quality.
Good wide angle and very little 'wobble' when cantering. Simple on and off switch and you can take photo stills. About £100. Previously we had a Muvi, the Polaroid is miles better.
