I don't get people, I really don't.

Friend said to me yesterday that her mini yorkie pup had got out of bed on Monday (12th which is a public holiday over here and everywhere closed) but couldn't support her weight, legs kept going out from underneath her, falling over etc but didn't actually pass out and asked did I know what had happened (I am not a bloody vet!)

I asked had she not taken dog to vet and she said no, but has an appointment for this morning (not heard how it went yet) I squeaked out that if my dog had been collapsing and unable to support weight I would be straight onto vet for emergency appointment. She said why the rush. I said to her if one of the kids did something like that what would she do? To which she replied take them to A&E and I said well it's the same for the fecking dog!!

Her answer was that you don't pay NHS but would have to pay through the nose for a vet on the 12th. You don't say! If you're not willing to pay out the bloody money don't get bloody dogs! Arghhhhhhh!

Poor little yorkie. I thought every dog (and horse) owner knew that they always saved their crises for out of hours, especially bank holidays etc.

Dog went to vet this morn, they think it was hypoglacaemic. And yes, I am having a massive spelling fail there

Poor dog. Tink has never had a vet appointment on a day other than weekends/bank holidays, and yes the darling even had a trip to the vets one Twelfth. I'm sure she costs me double!

Having had to suffer an emergency call out on a weekend, I feel her pain - but suffer it I did. Best £75 I ever paid, for peace of mind with the Princess Lil.
