Another 'experiment' no doubt - bet they're thrilled with themselves for getting the blue eyes. Actually a lovely looking pup so i'm sure they'll sell but really shouldn't have been created in the first place :(

Yes the one on the pic is rather attractive, I'm sure they are a very mixed bunch though. Poor little buggers, I wonder how many will be in rescue by a yr old because the owners cant cope with them :(

why on earth would anyone pay £250 for cross breeds. what are people thinking about these days. So much indiscriminate breeding, no wonder the rescue centres are bursting at the seams.

I started having a browse on pre - loved after looking at the insane cross in the OP and I cannot believe how much money people want for their 3 year old+ dogs??

They are rehoming them because they dont match the sofa / have too many dogs / want a new puppy / didnt actually expect them to need exercise and they are still expecting their dog to make them money!! Dogs are not like horses - you cant expect to be able to sell them on if you get bored of them. erghhh.

Jeez, just take him to a training class!!! Giving him up after a week! They didn't even try :(

There is going to be a ****storm in the not-too-distant future if you look at all the Sibe/Malamute/Akita litters being bred and advertised on those sites...and the amount who are given up in early adulthood if not puppyhood because people don't know how to cope with them, without even taking into account all the random crosses...I know a centre who won't take Akitas because they are too hard to rehome and two of the kennel girls have been nailed badly...

I have to agree, I have seen so many Husky/Malamute types up for rehoming around my local area. Its so upsetting.
"I work 9-5, Ive never had a dog before, I KNOW I'LL GO BUY A HUSKY, Cos they have cool blue eyes!!!" - Then they get upset and rehome said Husky because its eaten their furniture or something

Hah, you only have to look at us to see that the resulting outfall is a bloody nightmare. :p

Their looks are their downfall, I get people telling me every day that they'd love to own such a beautiful dog, they think I'm joking when I tell them how much exercise they need every single day. Yes, even when it's raining.

ETA: Did someone say sofa-eating?

He's a handsome chap too - I think ma would kill me if I bought another GSD home though (she currently has her GSD, Border and Shihtzu plus my brother's Border and Parson Jack during the day).

I only know of one person with an Akita (very much loved) but it is a spooky dog - the lack of expression and the way it comes and greets you by putting it's paws on your shoulder (less than ideal but not my dog to correct) you don't quite know what to expect. WAY too many people just have no idea how to cope with these breeds.

But look how pleased with themselves they are!!!
I must admit, as the owner of a Husky X, I am certainly feeling the strains of my horse being out of work at the moment. I usually run Tyson whilst I'm out hacking, and go for miles as fast as I can! Now I take him out with the bike, anything to avoid walking :p

Well they're really committed to that shepherd aren't they! And as for the spangle x husky, have run out of words to describe the folk who do all these weird and wonderful crosses. I really hope she is left with the 5 pups wrecking her home for weeks to come, at least that will hopefully discourag her from repeating the mating.

Who's that the spitting image of? :(

On the off chance that there's anybody in Swindon, please go and pick this one up!

I know someone who would take them both in a shot (runs a local dog class, sibe mad lol) but swindon's miles away. I pray they both find good homes.

I found a little terrier bitch on my local one, for free. 7yo :( If she's still about at the weekend, I might be coming back with her.... I need a companion for my bitch, and it says she's up to date with jabs, been spayed etc so am assuming she comes from a half decent home - ie won't crap everywhere and eat the sofa..........

I'm nearby and would love to - but would be a great example of an inappropriate household (2up2down/small garden/fulltime work unable to get back during the day etc - dog would have to be a part-timer at my parents) :(
