head shaking

hello need some help please

for the last couple of weeks my horse has started head shaking he only does it when being ridden , and then afterwards he will stand on the yard head shaking

he also only when hes in canter tilts hes head to the left , if i work him in a outline he doesn't tilt hes head so much

the saddle man came out about 2 months ago and said yes everythink is fine so i know hes saddle fits him

also the vet did he teeth about month ago but she said they didn't really need doing but im thinking about get the dentists out to have a proppa look

does anyone know why my horse has started head shaking nothink has changed at all , also do you know why he tilts hes head/ neck

if it carriers on i will have to get the vet out but just wanted to see if any of you might know why

Pollen allergy? Tight browband? Has he had mctimoney and back checked?

If it's pollen, nosenets can work quite well.

One of ours can do it occasionally tho if his forlock flicks back behind his ears and annoys him....delicate flower he is. LOL. And yes. I have caved before and tied it in a pony tail lmao...stopped it tho.

no he hasn't had one and the vet checked hes back last year some time , i guess i should get the vet to have a look at hes back .

lol thats a good idea tomorrow i will tie hes forlock up and see if that help at all

do you have a idea why hes tilting hes head/neck in canter ?

Tilting his head or neck could be stemming from the rider....if it's a new thing I'd pop someone else up on him and see if they get the same results...if not then there's the reason there

If it's still tilting, then I'd say possibly his atlas could be out or something. If it was last year his back was checked, I'd get him checked again that way any issues there are ruled out from the start, rather than trying everything else before that and it ending up being a discomfort issue throughout

I'd get a mctimoney practitioner or similar out too....our vets always refer to specialisits out of choice as its their chosen in depth area and I've always sworn by specialists. Ie, dentists for teeth not vets, chiro's for backs, not vets...etc.

If you know anyone with a nosenet you can try might be worth having a go with one to see if it works.

My headshaker suffers due to tree pollen, so seems to be affected at all times of the year. A nose net solves the problem.

i think i will get some1 to come and have a look at him see if they can see anythink thats not where its ment to be lol
