Hey guys. My horse has never been head shy and always worn fly masks the 11 years we've had him. However this 'summer' it's been a struggle to put one on. He completely shys away from it. You can touch his head fine. Literally the fly mask.. Any ideas? Thanks :) x

Could he have caught himself up in it and scared himself? Or could it have caught on his ears or an eye and hurt him? If he has worn one for years and is now reluctant I would be looking at pain / fear as the first reason. Can he go out without a mask? Or could you chnage the mask style?

Hey. There was nothing on the fly mask to suggest otherwise. It's a very good mask but possibly I suppose if he rolled. However unfortunately he's done it since we first got it this summer. He hasn't needed to wear it at all really because of the rain which has been lucky lol. We do have another mask which we've managed to find, given it a wash and mums trying today. Fingers crossed lol
